Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini insists he did not set his side up for a draw against Leicester City.
The Blues recorded their third goalless draw of the season at the King Power Stadium, after stalemates with Manchester United and Aston Villa.
Still, Pellegrini believes his side did more than enough to claim the three points.
He said:
I think we did more than Leicester to win the game. We had more possession, more attempts, more options but it was a tough game against a tough team playing away.
Pellegrini is not known as a pragmatic type of manager and he says his side went to Leicester with the aim of picking up all three points.

We didn’t come here to try to draw it. We didn’t allow them to create options. I think we not only kept the ball, we went the whole game for the three points.
City are currently third points behind Arsenal in the Premier League title race going into the new year and the City boss says it will be an important period for his troops.

This is a crucial period. I think at the end of January we will know exactly what position we are in. We will know if we are in the FA Cup and the final of the Capital One Cup and we have five or six very important Premier League games.
