According to reports in Spain, Chelsea have identified Manuel Pellegrini as a potential managerial candidate in the summer.
Chelsea recently parted company with Jose Mourinho, with Guus Hiddink returning to the club for a second spell as interim manager.
Pellegrini extended his City deal this summer though news that Pep Guardiola will not extend his Bayern Munich contract has only intensified reports that the Spanish coach is City bound.
The Chilean recently admitted that he would like to continuing managing in England even after his stint with City, and has now been linked with Chelsea.

Some sources have even suggested that contact has been made between the club and Pellegrini.

Diego Simeone is believed to be the preferred choice, but it is thought that Pellegrini could be a cheaper alternative and would bring a calm presence to the touchline at Chelsea after a season of controversy from Mourinho.
