Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has admitted that his side did not play well against Swansea and were fortunate to come away with all three points.
The Blues went ahead in the first half when ex-Swansea man Wilfried Bony headed home from a Jesus Navas corner.

But City’s performance was flat and their defensive frailties were exposed in the second half, with substitute Bafetimbi Gomis turning Mangala and equalising for the Swans.
All looked dead and buried, but Kelechi Iheanacho grabbed a late winner when Yaya Toure’s shot deflected off him and looped into the top corner – well and truly breaking Swansea hearts.

Pellegrini was not satisfied with the performance but hailed his team’s spirit.
Speaking to Sky Sports News, Pellegrini said:
When they draw I thought that the game would finish with a draw. But once again this team demonstrated the character to win the game. We really didn’t play well during the whole game – I think that Swansea made a very good game. Maybe we didn’t deserve to have the points today, but I think that these points may repay the points we lost here against West Ham [United] when we missed 18 or 20 chances to score.
