Manchester City midfielder Fernandinho’s season could be getting even better – with news coming in that the Brazilian could be set for a new contract.
According to the Manchester Evening News , City are to reward Fernandinho with an improved contract.

The 30-year old has more than 18 months remaining on his current deal but has been one of the club’s most consistent performers this season. He is the only City player to have figured in all 12 Premier League games this term.
And his incredible work ethic combined with quality on the ball has left City fans in awe – with many identifying him as the standout performer this season.
His recent performance against Sevilla in the Champions League gave him his fair share of plaudits and the former Shakhtar player could now be subject of a new deal with the club.

Many fans raised eyebrows when City forked out £30m for a then 28-year old Brazilian in 2013 but Fernandinho has established himself as a key figure in the City side and rumours of a new deal is only further evidence of his importance in the side.
