Manchester City youngsters Jason Denayer and Kelechi Iheanacho in the 2015 Golden Boy award shortlist.
The award has existed since 2003, where a number of high-profile journalists are able to vote on who has been the most impressive young player for that particular year.
Past winners included the likes of Lionel Messi and Wayne Rooney. While current City stars Sergio Aguero and Raheem Sterling have both picked up the award before signing for City.
Belgian Jason Denayer has had a meteoric rise in 2015, following on from a fruitful loan spell at Celtic where he picked up the SPL Young Player of the Year award.

Denayer was rewarded with a new contract in the summer and it was hoped he would be part of first-team plans for the forthcoming season. However the 20-year old is now on loan at Galatasaray and has featured three times in the Champions League for the Turkish side.
19-year old Nigerian starlet Kelechi Iheanacho is considered as one of the club’s most talented prospects and possesses a calmness beyond his younger years. After starring at the back-end of last season, Iheanacho has been promoted to the first-team squad and has hit two-goals this season – including the winner in a tense trip to Crystal Palace earlier in the season.

A striker with impressive link-up play and instinct, he shone in the club’s Capital One Cup win over Crystal Palace – capping off a lively display with a goal and two assists.
