New boy Kevin De Bruyne has made a rip-roaring start to his career at the Etihad, scoring four goals in five games for the Citizens, but the Belgian is determined to improve further.
The 24-year old – who signed from Wolfsburg in the Summer for a rumoured £55 million – has spoken to Sky Sports News and is convinced he can get even better.
“I am on a good run at the moment and obviously I want to try to keep on scoring, but there will come a time when I will not score that often.”

“That’s not a problem for me as long as I put in the good performances, it is fine.”
De Bruyne was the subject of a long-winded transfer saga that led many fans to believe that he wouldn’t actually leave the Bundesliga after all. However, City were able to lure the Belgian international away from Wolfsburg, and his impact has been instant. Already, his performances are befitting his hefty price tag.
The step up from Wolfsburg to Manchester City is a big one, due to the heavy expectations that are placed on any player that pulls on the famous sky blue shirt, but De Bruyne is taking the challenge in his stride.
What’s more, he appears to be an extremely grounded individual.

“I am happy, my family is happy and that is the most important thing for me. In the end, there are a lot of things to do and I need to do. In the next month, when everything is settled and done, I will get more rest and maybe produce some better performances.”
When he returns from international duty with Belgium, he will likely be flung right back into Premier League football, with Bournemouth next up for City on Saturday.
