The Pep Guardiola to City rumours have popped up again, with Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo reporting that the Bayern boss has reached an agreement with the Blues.
They report that Guardiola has a verbal agreement with City chief Txiki Begiristain, with the two working together in Pep’s fruitful years at Barcelona.

It has been well reported by a host of journalists that City’s plan for some time now has been to have Guardiola at the helm once Pellegrini completed his first-team duties.
But the Chilean signed an extension to his deal this summer, quashing talk that Guardiola’s arrival was imminent.
However it has been suggested that City may well have tied down Pellegrini to a new deal in order to keep things quiet on the Guardiola front and not have a season plagued by Pep talk.

The Spaniard’s contract expires in June 2016 and he has spoke previously about his admiration for the Premier League – and the £200m City Football Academy facilities is something that would surely appeal to him, given his interest in developing young talent.
Pellegrini’s fate is likely to be determined by the success of this season after a trophyless campaign in 2014/15 and Guardiola has been touted as his successor for a considerable amount of time.
