Manuel Pellegrini has revealed in his latest press conference that Fabian Delph will be out for at least a month after suffering yet another hamstring injury.
The £8 million signing from Villa pulled up minutes into his City debut in a pre-season match against Real Madrid and suffered the same fate just nine seconds into England’s Euro 2016 qualifying match against Switzerland.
Delph had previously made two cameo appearances from the bench before the international break and has been left frustrated with another niggling injury.

At one point this season City had just two recognised central midfielders available in Yaya Toure and Fernandinho, due to injuries sustained by Delph and Fernando.
The latter is now back fit after a long-time groin issue but 25-year old Delph is expected to be out for around 4-6 weeks, meaning he is likely to miss two Champions League matches.

The England International joins Pablo Zabaleta and Gael Clichy on the injury list, while Pellegrini also confirmed that David Silva will not play against Crystal Palace because of an ankle knock. It is hoped that he will be fit for the Juventus game on Wednesday.
