He’s yet to feature this season but Pablo Zabaleta will have to wait even longer for his first City appearance of the season with news that he will miss around a month because of damage to his knee ligament.
Zabaleta, along with Argentines Aguero and Demichelis, was given an extended rest by Manuel Pellegrini after a long-winded Copa America tournament in which Argentina were beaten by Chile on penalties.
Aguero and Demichelis have both come back into the fold, with the former grabbing the opener in the huge win over Chelsea on Sunday.
The City right-back has been on the bench for the first two fixtures but a lack of match fitness meant Bacary Sagna started and finished both games.
Though Sagna was impressive against Chelsea, it was thought that Zabaleta would soon be back in the backline but Pellegrini has now revealed in his press conference that 30-year old is sidelined for a month with the injury suffered in training.
