Manchester City are ready to turn their attention to Wolfsburg midfielder Kevin De Bruyne, having already agreed a deal for Liverpool and England star Raheem Sterling.
The Citizens have reportedly been interested in attaining De Bruyne’s services at the club for some time now, with the Belgian midfielder having impressed for the German side last season.
24-year-old De Bruyne is valued at around £50m by Wolfsburg and it is believed that City would be willing to pay a fee close to his sky high valuation.
Manuel Pellegrini’s men agreed a fee believed to be roughly £49m with Liverpool for 20-year-old Sterling, who will now undergo a medical before completing his move and should the club agree a fee for ex-Chelsea star De Bruyne, it will take City’s spending to around the £100m mark for the summer.
According to Mark Ogden of The Telegraph, Bayern Munich have also recently expressed an interest in De Bruyne, with the German club recently allowing club legend Bastian Schweinsteiger to join Manchester United, meaning Pep Guardiola’s men may look to replace the 30-year-old.
