Manchester City’s away kit for the upcoming 2015/16 season may have been leaked by liveforfootballshirt.com, and it looks slightly different to the ones we’ve seen previously on Twitter and the like. As expected, it’s made by Nike with the standard Etihad Airways sponsor.
Previously, we’ve seen rumoured away kits for the new season which featured a large, blue moon plastered across the chest. This was received with mixed reactions by the City support on Twitter, although thankfully (at least for some) this design does feature it, although incorporates it slightly more modestly. As the picture shows, the blue moon pattern features on the arms but not the main body of the shirt, leaving a plain black design.
Perhaps the most striking part of the kit is the sky blue trim which features on the arms, sides of the body and around the collar. This is somewhat similar to this season’s third kit, although with a different collar (a transition from polo to crew) and the addition of trim on the arms and neck. Thankfully, on this kit the sky blue and black go together better than that purple/neon green situation from the season just gone.
The fact that the shirt is shown seemingly in a shop – complete with security tags and coat hangers – could indicate this is indeed next season’s away kit, released a tad early. That, or some lucky shoppers are about to be duped out of their money.
