According to the Daily Mail, City have held discussions amongst themselves about the potential signing of Southampton midfielder James Ward-Prowse this summer, with the England under-21 international becoming the latest in a line of young homegrown talent linked with an Eastlands move in recent weeks.
After making his Premier League debut against City for The Saints back in 2012, Ward-Prowse has gained praise for his performances in a Southampton shirt, and has been linked with a move to City in the past, with the press previously quoting £20 million for the young midfielder.
City desperately need to add some homegrown talent to their squad this summer, with departures so far leaving them with just three homegrown players in the squad – Hart, Wright and Clichy. It seems City will add to this total this summer – with who is so far unclear, but it has to happen, what with stricter squad rules coming into play soon.
