Manchester City are to consider offers for misfiring striker Edin Dzeko this summer, but any potential suitors will have to cough up a considerable amount of money, according to the Mail.
The 29-year old is currently third choice in the striking department for the Blues, the irresistible form of Sergio Aguero coupled with Wilfried Bony’s arrival pushing Dzeko further down the pecking order.
The club appear content to let the 29-year old leave but will only sell on their terms, which would mean a fee of £20 million would be the minimum necessary amount to prize the Bosnian away.
Liverpool have been linked, but the Mail believe that they are not interested in the former Wolfsburg man.
Chelsea have been touted as a potential destination, with Loic Remy linked with moves away and Didier Drogba’s services no longer available.
City would surely not allow a player to move to a title rival for a small sum.
Dzeko produced a series of heroic displays in the 2013/14 double-winning campaign, particularly in the late surge towards the Premier League title when the Blues capitalised on Liverpool’s slip-ups.
But last season he was uninspiring, managing a tame four goals and starting just 11 Premier League fixtures – this on the back of him being handed a new deal in August 2014.
It seems he is very much a player available but only for the right price – with City then aiming to use the funds to strengthen in other areas.
