After his move to Liverpool was confirmed today, James Milner’s five-year stint at Manchester City has come to an end.

Despite not always being a permanent fixture in the side, he was well valued and regarded here and will be sorely missed by the majority of fans. We take a look at James Milner’s City career in pictures.

James was part of the side which won the FA Cup in the 2010/11 campaign, although he was an unused substitute in the final at Wembley.

The following season was also a fruitful one. Milner played a vital role in the famous 6-1 mauling inflicted on United at Old Trafford , setting up two goals.

Milner celebrated his first Premier League title after that dramatic final day victory over QPR.

The 2013/14 campaign under Manuel Pellegrini was an impressive one and James added more accolades to his collection. The Capital One Cup was followed up with another Premier League title. Milner certainly seemed to enjoy himself at the trophy parade.

The recent 2014/15 campaign proved to be Milner’s last with the club and his goal against Swansea in the 4-2 win at the Liberty Stadium was his last for the club.

He has been a great servant to the club and was a firm fans favourite here. A well-deserved applause in his final appearance for the club.
