Manchester City may be keeping tabs on Jack Grealish of Aston Villa ahead of a possible move for the midfielder in 2016, according to reports from the Daily Mail. The Solihull-born player has received many plaudits this season after playing over 20 games for The Villans this season – and with an FA Cup Final still to be played as well.
The midfielder has been with Aston Villa since 2001, when he was just six, and had a break-out season last year on loan at Notts County, playing 39 games for the Nottinghamshire side in League One as they just about survived relegation. Grealish has played a much bigger part at Aston Villa this season, and has made 17 appearances for his club this season, compared to just one last year.
With the midfielder having gained plaudits for some of his displays this season, City are thought to have been watching him as potential target for the summer of 2016. Villa are confident they can hang on to the player until then, but are likely to know that soon he may be too good for them to keep. Chelsea and Spurs have also been thought to be keeping tabs on the 19-year-old who is eligible to play for both Ireland and England internationally.
Grealish is expected to play a part for Aston Villa against Arsenal this weekend, as the two teams clash at Wembley for the FA Cup Final.
