Hart: 8 – Despite being beaten twice, the England International produced some stunning saves, in particular one from Fernandez.
Zabaleta: 6 – The Argentine struggled against the tricky Montero, but produced a few key tackles, as well as helping Milner in an attacking sense.
Demichelis: 7 – As the most experienced City defender, he led by example, offering us composure on the ball, as well as making some important interventions.
Mangala: 6 – The French international struggled early on, but grew into the game, helping to shackle Gomis well.
Kolarov: 7 – Continued his impressive form with another solid performance, keeping Dyer quiet, as well as offering a good attacking outlet.
Fernandinho: 6 – A solid if unspectacular game, provided good industry, as well as helping to shield the back four.
Toure: 8 – Two goals for the Ivorian, who looked close to his marauding best. When he runs with the ball he’s so hard to stop.
Silva: 6 – The effort was there, but could and maybe should have had a couple, often trying to pass the ball when shooting was the better option
Lampard: 6 – Another good performance from Lampard, timing his runs into the box well, and also providing a great work rate in the middle of the park.
Milner: 7 – A good performance from Milner, who worked tirelessly as well as adding a fantastic goal.
Aguero: 8 – No goals for the Argentine, but his hold up play, as well as his movement was sublime.
