Sagna happy at City

Bacary Sagna has revealed in a conversation with the Manchester Evening News that he doesn’t regret making the move to Eastlands from Arsenal in the summer, despite some fans saying they’d be happy to let the Frenchman leave the club in the summer with his signing having been somewhat ineffective thus far.

Whilst that may seem like a twisting of words, a question about regrets was put to him, to which he answered “no, not at all.”

“I see a lot of comments from fans saying I should have stayed at Arsenal but if I had to do it again, if I had to come back and sign for City, I would have done it again.”

Another rumour that has been muttered about City is that he’s vying for a move away, but he says he is happy at the club “because I came to the champions”.

However, the right-back did acknowledge how difficult it can be to choose between him and his friendly rival Pablo Zabaleta, saying “Zabaleta’s been here for a long time, he’s a great player. For me and for the manager it is maybe not easy to make the decision who’s to start but every time I get to play I give the maximum for the team.”

However, Sagna is looking towards the future: “I’m here to look forward and to progress and I think I did.”

Bacary Sagna has made 16 appearances for City this season.
