Bacary Sanga could already be questioning his Manchester City future, despite only moving to Eastlands a matter of months ago, according to reports on the Daily Mirror’s website.
The Frenchman is reportedly unhappy with his general lack of playing time, often losing out in the time, with Pablo Zabaleta preferred over the former Arsenal right-back. However, Sagna has played a role from the start in some of City’s biggest games this season, being chosen over Zabaleta, especially in recent weeks whilst the Argentine hasn’t looked to be at his best.
In his 7 years at the Emirates, Sagna played over 250 games under Arsene Wenger, being a regular name on the teamsheet. In comparison, he’s played just 14 in all competitions since he signed for City nine months ago, which is reportedly causing some discomfort. It can, however, be argued that it was always expected he would be second-choice to Zabaleta, the man who has been City’s first-choice for a few years now.
Roma are thought to be interested in signing Sagna in the summer, two years after they took another aging City right-back to Serie A, Maicon. They could now attempt to take the 32-year-old to Italy, if the reports about him considering his future are true.
