It’s being reported by talkSPORT that if City want to buy Porto’s Yacine Brahimi, who is also reportedly a target for Tottenham, they’ll have to fork out upwards of £40 million for the midfielder.
The 25-year-old only joined Porto last summer from Granada, and it was reported then that Spurs were again interested, as were Everton, but they were beaten to his signing by the Portuguese side for a fee just under the tune of £5 million.
He’s had a big impact in Portugal’s top flight, and is now reportedly on the radar of City. However, City would need to pay his buyout clause of £40 million to sign the Algerian international, with Porto having no intention of letting the attacking midfielder leave for anything less than that.
That could be a problem, with City reportedly only willing to go up to £33 million for the midfielder who went to last year’s World Cup with Algeria.
Brahimi has scored 4 goals in 15 league games since he signed for Porto last July.
