After speculation had emerged in recent weeks linking Stevan Jovetic with a move back to Serie A and Italy, the Montenegrin has ruled out the chance of a possible move this January, according to the Express.
After scoring the first in City’s 2-0 win against Hamburg in Wednesday’s friendly, Stevan Jovetic spoke about the recent speculation linking him with a City departure, saying “I never wanted to go because I have a lot more to show and a lot more goals to score.”
Juventus were reportedly one of the Italian clubs interested in taking the 25-year-old back to Serie A, with them supposedly plotting a £22 million bid.
Jovetic has struggled to really get going at City since joining from Fiorentina for £22 million in the summer of 2013, scoring just 8 goals in 21 league games since signing. The addition of Wilfried Bony recently has led to further belief that he will struggle to get games ahead of the Ivorian, as well as Sergio Aguero and Edin Dzeko.
