Recent reports that Ajax are monitoring the situation of City’s Jason Denayer, who is currently enjoying a productive spell on loan at Celtic.
According to reports, Ajax boss Frank De Boer had the Belgian scouted at the weekend, as Denayer helped the Scottish side to a 2-0 away win over Hamilton.
Denayer featured for Manuel Pellegrini’s first-team in pre-season, before later moving to the Hoops on loan. The 19-year old has enjoyed a good run of games in Scotland, which has seen him earn a call-up to the Marc Wilmot’s Belgium squad.
Celtic manager Ronny Deila has made it clear that he intends to secure the defender on loan next season, but that may not come about with Denayer expected to be in popular demand. There is also the possibility of Denayer moving into Pellegrini’s first-team plans for the 2015/16 season.
Have you been impressed with how the Belgian has fared in Glasgow? Do you think Denayer should return to City next season?
