Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly monitoring Rayan Cherki as uncertainty continues around City.
The 23-year-old has established himself as an important player at Man City since arriving from Lyon in 2025, but his performances have also attracted attention from elsewhere.
According to TEAMtalk, PSG are closely monitoring Cherki and would be prepared to move for the France international if he became available. Liverpool are also credited with an interest, while Chelsea and Real Madrid have previously been linked with the attacking midfielder.
Rayan Cherki attracts Liverpool and PSG interest
The important caveat, clearly, is that Cherki isn’t currently on the market. There is no suggestion City have decided to sell him, while no bid or formal approach from Liverpool or PSG has been reported.
Instead, the interest is being framed against the uncertainty surrounding City’s Premier League case and what could follow if the club’s appeal against the guilty findings is unsuccessful. No sanction has yet been announced.
Cherki’s contract runs until 2030, leaving City in a strong position over a player who cost €42.5m when he arrived from Lyon two summers ago.
TEAMtalk report that Cherki produced 25 goal contributions during his first season in Manchester and has already registered six from eight appearances this term.
PSG are said to be ready to act if Cherki becomes available at a price they consider workable, either in January or next summer. Liverpool are among the other clubs reported to be monitoring the situation. For now, however, this remains interest rather than a developing transfer.
Cherki is a City player on a long-term contract, and there is no indication from the club that they intend to sell him.
