Manchester City have confirmed two additional pre-season fixtures in Seoul, with Pep Guardiola’s squad set to face K-League All Stars and Atletico Madrid in August. The club announced on Monday that City will play K-League All Stars at Seoul World Cup Stadium on Wednesday 5 August before returning to the same venue to meet Atletico Madrid on Sunday 9 August.
The games form part of the 2026 Coupang Play Series and add to City’s already-confirmed Asia tour schedule. City had previously lined up a pre-season meeting with Inter Milan in Hong Kong on Saturday 1 August, meaning the Seoul dates now give supporters a fuller picture of the club’s summer build-up before the 2026/27 campaign.
City Add Seoul Dates To Asia Tour
In their official fixture announcement, Manchester City said the Seoul games will be presented as part of the men’s first-team pre-season tour, with the Atletico fixture reviving a match-up that sold out when the clubs met in the 2023 Coupang Play Series.
For Guardiola, the trip gives City a compact run of high-profile preparation games against varied opposition: Inter in Hong Kong, a K League select side in Seoul, then Atletico four days later. That schedule should offer room for established senior players, World Cup returnees and fringe options to build rhythm before domestic football resumes.
The club said further details around the fixtures will follow, but the dates are now fixed. For City supporters, the key point is simple: the Asia tour has grown from one confirmed match into a three-game pre-season programme across Hong Kong and South Korea.
