Beth Mead Signs For Manchester City From Arsenal Until 2029

Manchester City have confirmed the signing of England international Beth Mead from Arsenal on a contract running until the summer of 2029.

The club announced the deal on Friday 12 June, with Mead arriving after a decorated nine-year spell in north London. The 31-year-old forward joins City having won the Women’s Super League, three League Cups and the UEFA Women’s Champions League with Arsenal.

City’s official announcement also underlined Mead’s wider pedigree, noting that she holds the WSL assists record and has 81 senior England caps alongside 40 international goals, according to Manchester City’s confirmation of Beth Mead’s signing.

Beth Mead adds trophy-winning experience to City attack

Mead has been handed City’s number seven shirt and said the move suited her style, adding that she felt the club could draw more from her game. For a side coming off a historic WSL and FA Cup double, the logic is clear: City are adding a proven creator, scorer and big-game forward before another campaign with domestic and European demands.

Director of Football Therese Sjogran called Mead’s achievements self-evident and framed the signing as a way of building on last season’s double. With Khadija Shaw and Vivianne Miedema already in City’s attacking group, Mead’s ability to play wide or centrally gives the champions another elite-level route to goal.
