Giorgi Kinkladze calls on Man City fans to ‘keep believing’ ahead of final three Premier League matches

  • Man City’s season nearing its end
  • Premier League title still possible
  • Giorgi Kinkladze implores fans to offer support

Manchester City need some big results to win the Premier League, and one former player has called on the club’s supporters to get behind their team.

Arsenal’s victory over West Ham means Man City are once again five points behind the Premier League leaders with one game in hand.

This makes winning the top flight a tough ask for the Citizens. However, if Arsenal drop points in either of their final two matches, there is still a chance.

Ex-City midfielder Giorgi Kinkladze knows exactly what is at stake, which is why he has delivered a message to the club’s fans.

Giorgi Kinkladze wants Man City fans to believe

Man City supporters are experiencing mixed emotions right now, with the title race looking like it could go either way.

Nerves are higher than they have been all season, but Kinkladze wants the fans to remain calm and give their full backing to Pep Guardiola and his players.

“Some of my best memories in football are moments like this – pure chaos, pure joy, pure Manchester City,” he posted on X in relation to an image of him celebrating with City fans.

“This club has never been only about winning trophies. It’s about the people who stayed. The fans who believed through difficult years, empty moments, and tough title races.

“That’s why moments of success always mean more here. Right now the team needs that same energy again. Not panic, not doubt. Support,” he continued.

“Stand behind the badge until the very end, because if football has taught City fans anything over the years, it’s that everything can change in one moment. Keep believing.”

City have to focus on themselves

There is no point dwelling on Arsenal’s results, because those matches are entirely out of Man City’s control.

The best thing for City to do is to concentrate on winning their games, and they need to feel positive energy from the stands.

At this moment in time, the Premier League is in Arsenal’s hands. However, there is still a chance if the Sky Blues defeat Crystal Palace on Wednesday.

Man City fans will have something to celebrate this season

Even if the Premier League trophy heads to the Emirates Stadium, Man City’s campaign has already been better than the disappointments of last season.

Guardiola’s team won the Carabao Cup, and will have an FA Cup added to their cabinet too, provided they defeat an out-of-form Chelsea.

The importance of these achievements should not be understated, particularly in comparison with the previous year.

It may not be what City fans have grown accustomed to, but it still gives them something to shout about.
