- The youngster also won the award in February
Manchester City star Nico O’Reilly has been voted the club’s Player of the Month for April, the second time he’s won the award in three months.
The academy graduate beat both Bernardo Silva and Abdukodir Khusanov to claim the award, after another impressive month.
April’s success is the second time O’Reilly has been recognised this season, having also won POTM in February .
The 21-year-old has continued to put in outstanding performances, including scoring twice in March’s Carabao Cup final win.
Nico O’Reilly wins Man City April Player of the Month award
After another stellar month, O’Reilly has been recognised for a string of top-quality performances for Pep Guardiola’s side.
His technical ability, energy and quality on both sides of the ball have been instrumental in City’s incredible recent form, winning all five games in April across all competitions.

He also scored in the 3-0 away win against Chelsea, which helped City close the gap to Premier League leaders Arsenal.
O’Reilly also up for Premier League honour
On top of winning the club’s April POTM award, O’Reilly is also in contention for the Premier League POTM award for April, along with Rayan Cherki.
The pair have been in dazzling form recently, with neither putting a foot wrong during City’s phenomenal run of victories.

Cherki is perhaps the more likely to win the Premier League award, but O’Reilly’s nomination is well-deserved recognition of his contributions.
How good can Nico O’Reilly become?
It’s hard to believe that O’Reilly is still only 21 years old. With 70 senior appearances already, as well as becoming a full England international last year, he has fully established himself.
O’Reilly has nine goals and six assists in all competitions, while primarily playing at left-back. Such numbers would be impressive for a seasoned veteran, never mind a young academy graduate.
If he continues on this trajectory, it’s hard to argue against the City starlet becoming one of the best fullbacks in the world, if he isn’t already.
