Manchester City are taking on Southampton for a place in the FA Cup final and Pep Guardiola has named his team to do battle on a bright Saturday evening.

The FA Cup has reached its penultimate stage and Manchester City will be fairly happy with how things have turned out.

After battering Liverpool in the quarter-finals, City’s next test is to break down Championship outfit Southampton.

The Saints have done exceptionally well, beating Arsenal in the previous round. However, Man City are in winning form and will have every intention of storming back into the final for a fourth successive year.

Pep Guardiola makes mass changes to his Manchester City line-up

Man City are playing a third match in under a week, so it is unsurprising to see Guardiola switch things up in the cup.

James Trafford has replaced Gianluigi Donnarumma in goal, while the defensive line looks somewhat different to the one who kept a clean sheet against Burnley.

Matheus Nunes and Rayan Ait-Nouri keep their places in the starting line-up, and they are joined by John Stones and Nathan Ake, both of whom have been linked with moves away from the club.

The midfield has been changed in its entirety. Matteo Kovacic is finally starting after recovering from his injury, while Nico Gonzalez and Tijjani Reijnders will play from the first whistle.

Up front, Rayan Cherki has been kept in the team and he and Phil Foden will be eager to create chances for Omar Marmoush.
