How to watch Manchester City vs Southampton: TV channel, score prediction and predicted line-ups
  • Man City play Southampton on Saturday
  • Winner books place in FA Cup final
  • Pep Guardiola set to make changes to squad

Manchester City will take on Southampton this weekend in an FA Cup semi-final tie where complacency is simply not an option.

Arsenal’s FA Cup exit will have had Man City’s players licking their lips. Even more so when they were drawn against Southampton in the next round.

However, City’s win over Burnley has shown that what seems like a straightforward fixture could actually be much more challenging than anticipated.

Still, Pep Guardiola’s team have won five successive matches which means they have every reason to feel confident ahead of a huge clash.

Score prediction

Man City should be defeating most teams in the country right now, especially a club competing in the Championship.

Despite this, Southampton are making a push for promotion and are on a 20-match unbeaten run in all competitions.

This will not be an easy game for City, but they should have what it takes to carve out a victory, even if it is by another small margin.

Provided he starts, Omar Marmoush will be on target and the Sky Blues will make their way back to Wembley for yet another FA Cup final.

Score prediction: Southampton 1-2 Manchester City

Predicted Man City line-up

James Trafford will be back between the sticks, while it is hard to see Rico Lewis getting a start ahead of Matheus Nunes.

Pep Guardiola will look to keep things fresh at the back with veterans John Stones and Nathan Ake featuring for City. Rayan Ait-Nouri will also start, after playing 65 minutes against Burnley.

Nico Gonzalez and Tijjani Reijnders will be joined in midfield by Matteo Kovacic, who has not appeared for his team since returning from his lengthy injury.

Finally, Savinho and Phil Foden will be restored to the starting XI, with Marmoush leading the line up top.

Man City predicted line-up: Trafford, Nunes, Stones, Ake, Ait-Nouri, Nico, Kovacic, Reijnders, Savinho, Marmoush, Foden
