Manchester City are one of many teams interested in a talented German international, but he comes at quite the cost.

It may only be March, but the transfer rumours are already swirling at Manchester City ahead of this summer.

The midfielder is likely to be a priority for the club, with Bernardo Silva set to leave Man City, while doubts linger over Rodri’s future as well.

Man City have been lining up potential replacements and one player on their list is a 31-year-old who once won the Champions League with Bayern Munich.

Leon Gorteza is receiving interest from Manchester City

According to Ekrem Konur, Man City are interested in Leon Goretzka, but he will come at a heavy price.

Goretza is demanding £6m per year in wages and he is also keen on an £8.7m signing bonus, making him a tough player to obtain.

Despite this, there are lots of clubs circling him from across Europe, including Arsenal, Atletico Madrid and Juventus, among others.

Gorteza would restore experience to Man City’s squad

Silva has spent many years playing at the highest level of football, while Rodri has also been competing with the very best for a number of seasons.

This kind of experience can be tricky to replace, but Goretzka knows what it is like to play in the biggest matches.

The summer transfer target may not have played in the Premier League before, but signing him would be far less risky than going for a young, less developed player.
