Opta Supercomputer offers decisive verdict on Manchester City’s Premier League meeting with Nottingham Forest

The Opta Supercomputer has revealed the likelihood of Manchester City defeating Nottingham Forest and it has been fairly decisive this week.

Manchester City have a midweek Premier League fixture for the first time since February 11 and it is one the home team should really be winning.

Nottingham Forest are the team venturing to the Etihad Stadium and they are winless in their five previous matches in the league.

City on the other hand have won seven successive home matches and are yet to drop points since their draw with Tottenham Hotspur over a month ago.

Opta Supercomputer predicts Manchester City victory

Man City will fancy their chances against Forest and the Opta Supercomputer certainly expects three points to go the way of Pep Guardiola’s team.

The Sky Blues have been given a 72 per cent chance of defeating the relegation scrappers, while Forest have only an 11 per cent possibility of success.

However, the visitors would be pretty happy with a draw and this is 15 per cent likely, according to the Supercomputer.

Man City have scraped wins recently in the Premier League

Even with Nottingham Forest struggling to stay afloat, Man City have not exactly blown away their recent opponents.

They only defeated Leeds United by a single goal and the same was true of Newcastle the previous weekend.

So while City are still very much expected to get the better of Vitor Pereira’s team, there will be queries about how many goals the hosts are capable of scoring.
