Manchester City recently sent one of their young players out on loan and he is off to a brilliant start in England’s second tier.
Manchester City’s academy has produced some top class players over the past decade or two and Divine Mukasa could one day reach those levels.
The 18-year-old joined Man City from West Ham back in 2023 and he has risen up the ranks since impressing for the club’s under-18s team.
Mukasa has already made seven Premier League 2 appearances this season. Also, he has scored four goals in four UEFA Youth League starts, wearing the captain’s armband on three of those occasions.
This exceptional form recently earned Mukasa a loan move to Leicester City until the end of the season and he has quickly adapted to life at a new club.
Divine Mukasa has been superb for Leicester City
The Foxes are in dire need of players to step up, as they currently sit inside the Championship relegation zone with just 12 games remaining to play.
Mukasa is seeking to be one of those players and he is doing a pretty good job so far, bagging two goals and three assists in four appearances.

These contributions have been important, since Mukasa was involved in both Leicester’s goals during a 2-2 draw against Stoke City last weekend.
As well as this, he assisted the Championship strugglers’ only score of the night on Tuesday, which saw them earn a draw at Middlesbrough.
Manchester City will be closely watching Mukasa
It is clear Mukasa is already seen as a player for the future at Man City, considering he has made appearances in the Premier League, FA Cup and League Cup this season.
If he continues to perform at such a high level for Leicester, there is a good chance he will be given even more opportunities to prove himself at the Etihad Stadium.
Mukasa has plenty of years to develop and with players like Erling Haaland around to help him grow, the sky is the limit for the young forward.
