Manchester City won a third consecutive Carabao Cup on the weekend, defeating Aston Villa 2-1 at Wembley Stadium.
First-half goals from Sergio Aguero and Rodri proved to be enough for Pep Guardiola’s men, with the Spaniard picking up his eighth major honour as boss at the Etihad Stadium.
During Guardiola’s stay, Manchester City have splashed the cash on several big-money acquisitions, and as to be expected, those star signings are on big salaries.
