Manchester City star David Silva has officially confirmed that he has retired from international football, ending an illustrious career with Spain.

The experienced playmaker is now looking to turn his full attention to club football after enjoying a prolonged period on the international stage with his beloved Spain.
Silva’s career with Spain extended to a period of 12 years, in which he was able to pull on his country’s shirt on 125 separate occasions.

During this time on the international stage, Spain were able to win two European Championships titles, along with the 2010 World Cup.
Silva, 32, will now be keen to enjoy yet another impressive season in Manchester City colours, as Pep Guardiola’s side look to retain the Premier League title.
