City set to offer Silva new deal, amid interest from Europe

Manchester City playmaker David Silva is set to pen a new deal which will keep him at the Etihad until 2020, the Daily Mirror report.

Silva, 31, joined City back in 2010 and has since made over 230 appearances for the club.

There is believed to be strong interest from Calcio A giant’s AC Milan and La Liga side Las Palmas on luring the Spanish international away from Manchester next summer, however, it looks set that Silva will sign a new deal with Pep Guardiola’s side in the coming weeks.

When asked about Silva’s future, Guardiola heaped praise on the playmaker and admitted a new deal is waiting to be signed.

When he can finally sign the contract, we’ll be very happy. What he’s done for the club will be written in the history books in the future and I hope he’ll continue for the next years.

The midfielder has won every domestic trophy there is to win during his time at Manchester City, and is now desperate to add a Champions League winners medal to his collection before leaving City, with City already guaranteed qualification from the group stage with a game to spare.
