Manchester City’s second away game of the season took them back to the south coast where they faced Bournemouth.
After an eventful match against Everton on Monday night, City looked to get back to winning ways.
However, the match did not get off to an ideal start for The Blues as Charlie Daniels scored a stunning half volley to put The Cherries one goal up in the 13th minute.
City then cranked up the pressure and were rewarded for their efforts eight minutes later after David Silva threaded a pass through Gabriel Jesus who poked in the equaliser.
The match calmed down as time went on, there were a few questionable decisions Mike Dean (look at the slideshow to find out more).
In the dying minutes of added time, City scored a last gasp winner as Raheem Sterling managed to find the back of Begovic’s net which saw crazy celebrations from both the City players and fans.
Sterling was punished for his celebrations with the fans by being sent off and City came out 2-1 winners.
It was a match where a resilient Bournemouth defence frustrated a star studded City attack, but, City’s star power finally shone through.
Gabriel Jesus opens up his goal scoring account
After two frustrating performances against Brighton and Everton, it looked like Gabriel Jesus had lost his touch from last season.
Finally, Jesus was rewarded for his efforts by scoring the opener against Bournemouth and it was a proper strikers goal.
Hopefully, this will be a start to a flurry of goals for the Brazilian.
Raheem Sterling will fight for his place
Raheem Sterling is a player which received a lot of criticism from football fans, mostly because of his £50m price tag.
Despite not being in the starting lineups for City, he has made an impact when he comes off the bench and that was evident when he scored the equaliser against Everton.
Against Bournemouth he was rewarded with a starting place and he took full advantage of this. He was causing all sorts of problems for Bournemouth and scored the winning goal to give City their second win of the season.
Mike Dean loves to be the centre of attention
Referee Mike Dean is no stranger to controversial decisions in the Premier League and this match was no different.
There was clear red card for Bournemouth defender Nathan Ake after his trip on Jesus, but, was only given a yellow.
There was a controversial red card for Raheem Sterling who was sent off for celebrating with the fans.
It is safe to say most fans, pundits and journalists disagree with the decision.
Benjamin Mendy has got to get use to the Premier League
City fans were very excited once they saw Benjamin Mendy’s name on the team sheet and were hoping for an immediate impact.
Unfortunately, this was not the case for Mendy.
The French international was making devastating runs down the flanks, but, a defensively set Bournemouth made it difficult for him to make a huge impact on the attacking side.
With a few more Premier League matches under his belt, expect Mendy to be causing all sorts of problems.
Pep Guardiola opts for a back four
The infamous back three has been a staple of Pep Guardiola’s time at Manchester City so far, but, today he did something different.
The Spaniard opted for a back four instead.
This shows that despite being someone who believes in his philosophy is the only way to play football, he is willing to adapt his tactics to suit the teams he is facing.
