As quoted by the Telegraph, Claudio Bravo has insisted that he is happy at Manchester City despite a lacklustre first season.
It’s all false, that I’m looking for another place to play because I want to leave, things that are not true. I’m happy in England and so is my family.
During the interview, Bravo dismissed speculation that City had hired a sports psychologist to address his struggles in adapting to the Premier League.
The issue that I was not playing came out, many examples of fake news have come out. Things that, above all, have no information about them. Many things also come out from this country that are not true – that I have a psychologist, or an English teacher to have a faster adaptation.
Bravo has recently lost his place to City’s second choice goalkeeper Willy Caballero, who is out of contract in May. Despite Pep Guardiola’s claims that he is happy with his options in goal, a new number one goalkeeper could be a big part of a planned summer overhaul of the City squad.
Bravo signed for City from Barcelona last August for an initial fee of £13.75 million to replace Joe Hart, who is currently out on loan to Torino. The Chilean has vowed to fight for his place in the team, and has denied any rumours of City employing either a sports psychologist or an English language teacher to help him improve his communication skills with his teammates.
Bravo has been under intense scrutiny from City fans and rival fans after a tumultuous first season in the English top flight. His recent failings have made him an unpopular figure at the Etihad Stadium this season.
