Manchester City new boy and Brazil’s latest hero, Gabriel Jesus, is facing time on the sidelines with an injury to his groin.
Jesus’ debut with the senior Brazil side was what dreams are made of – he won a penalty before going on to score two goals; this came after an impressive set of performances in Rio as he won Olympic gold with his country.

Having agreed a deal to move to the Etihad this upcoming January, as he was fancied to do so by football-bookmakers.com, Jesus couldn’t have it much better, until his side’s game with Gremio at the weekend.
According to the Manchester Evening News, the Brazilian starlet pulled up when playing for current side Palmeiras, and is set to have the injury to his groin assessed on Monday.
Pep Guardiola will be hoping that the injury doesn’t keep Jesus out of action for too long, as the City manager will want to see the 19-year-old continue his rich vein of form ahead of his move to Manchester after Christmas.
