Despite being unveiled as the new Manchester City manager earlier this week, reports in Spanish newspaper Marca suggest that Pep Guardiola is yet to sign a contract with the Premier League club.

Fear not, though, City fans: Guardiola is expected to sign the deal on Friday.
The Spaniard’s arrival was announced by City in February but complications in Guardiola’s contract forced a delay in him putting pen to paper.

Representatives of both parties are poised to meet in Manchester on Friday to ensure that a deal goes through without any issues.
A three-year deal was verbally agreed over a year ago, according to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, and fans have been eagerly anticipating his arrival since the February announcement.

Guardiola has been a long-term target for the Sky Blues, with director of football Txiki Begiristain and chief executive officer Ferran Soriano both desperate to bring their ex-Barcelona colleague to the Etihad since arriving in 2012.
