2015/16 saw the emergence of Kelechi Iheanacho and cameo roles for the likes of Manu Garcia, Bersant Celina, and Aleix Garcia.
With Pep Guardiola at the helm of the club Manchester City are expected to increase the percentage of youth players eventually making first-team appearances, despite the Spaniard promising a summer spending spree which will see a number of new faces arrive at the Sportscity campus.
Guardiola has already done this at Barcelona, where he promoted player such as Sergio Busquets and Pedro through the ranks into the first-team.
City’s new £200m academy will be put to good use and fans can expect a lot more opportunities for the youngsters, but which one, in particular, do our writers think will break through in the coming season?
