Inter Milan having given up their pursuit of Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure after the Ivorian revealed that he is prepared to work under Pep Guardiola, according to Il Messaggero.

The Italian newspaper reports that Toure will see out the final year of his contract at the Etihad Stadium, despite his past experience working with Guardiola.
While in charge of Barcelona, Guardiola sold Toure and it has been reported that Toure was unwilling to work with the Spaniard again.

During his time at City, Toure has sparked transfer speculation on several occasions. The birthday cake debacle was followed by a pay-rise ultimatum.
Roberto Mancini’s Inter Milan have continually expressed their interest in signing the midfield anchor, but the veteran’s wage demands remain a sticking point in any deal.

Mancini is desperate to reunite with the man that he brought to Manchester but has resigned to the fact that the 33-year-old is set to stay put for another year.
