Manchester City full-backs Bacary Sagna and Pablo Zabaleta are the subject of interest from Serie A side Roma, according to Il Messaggero.

The experienced duo could both be casualties of Pep Guardiola’s summer overhaul at the club, with the Spaniard looking to mould the squad into his own.
Ilkay Gundogan has already joined the fold at the Sportscity campus and other players such as John Stones, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Toni Kroos have also been linked with moves to the blue half of Manchester.

Il Messaggero reports that the two players are likely to leave the Etihad if Juventus full-back Stephan Lichtsteiner is recruited this summer. However, City will have to wait until the end of Switzerland’s Euro 2016 journey to open talks with the 32-year-old, so a deal looks to be some way off yet.
Sagna had an impressive campaign in 2015/16, overtaking Zabaleta as Manuel Pellegrini’s first-choice right-back.

Zabaleta, meanwhile, endured an injury-plagued season which has thrown his immediate future at the club into doubt.
