Manchester City midfielder Seko Fofana is closing in on a permanent switch to Udinese, according to The Guardian’s Ed Aarons.
Having impressed on loan at French outfit SC Bastia last season, Fofana has been targeted by a host of clubs including Premier League side Watford.

However, it appears that Udinese have won the race to sign the 21-year-old with Aarons reporting that a £3m deal is set to be tied up in the ‘next few days’.

Fofana is most comfortable in the central midfield position, where he can influence the game in both an attacking and a defensive capacity, and helped Bastia to a top-half finish in Ligue 1.
