Manchester City have launched a bid to sign Brazilian winger Gabriel Jesus, according to ONE World Sports.

The talented youngster is also on the wishlist of Barcelona, who see him as a potential successor to the unsettled Neymar.
While Barcelona have only submitted a €19m (£14.9m) bid, City have matched the €24m (£18.9m) release clause in Jesus’ contract.

Since breaking into the first team at Palmeiras in 2014, Jesus has scored 20 goals in 60 appearances for the club and is one of the highest-rated prospects in world football.
Jesus is set to cost City more than the £18.9m that they will pay to buy him, though, because, to secure a work permit, the Sky Blues will be forced to buy out the third-party owners.

It is unknown what this fee may be, but the fact that the 19-year-old has yet to appear for the Brazilian national team means that this added cost is uncompromisable.
