According to Spanish media outlet Marca, Manchester City are expected to announce the signing of Leroy Sane from German side Schalke, as early as today.
The German international, who is currently away with his national side on Euro’s duty in France, would be Pep Guardiola’s second signing as Manchester City boss, following Ilkay Gundogan’s switch from Borussia Dortmund.
During Guardiola’s time at the Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich, former Barcelona boss Guardiola was impressed by the 20-year-old.

His club, Schalke, value him at around the €50m mark, but it’s still unknown as to how much City offered the German side for their youngster.
During the transfer market in January, Real Madrid were reportedly keen on Sane, and a deal was close to being struck between the two parties, but nothing could be agreed.
Los Blancos were always likely to go back in for their target, but if Guardiola beats them to the signing, the Spanish side will feel like they’ve missed out on a bright talent.
