Manchester City winger Jesus Navas is set to be given a chance to prove himself under incoming manager Pep Guardiola next season, according to the Daily Mail.
The Spaniard, who was not selected in his country’s 23-man squad for this summer’s European Championships, was expected to be part of the exodus that Guardiola is planning for his first transfer window in charge.

However, Guardiola believes that Navas can still prove to be of worth next season and will give him one season to showcase his talent before deciding on his long-term future at the club.
Navas appeared more than any other City player during the 2015/16 season but is often criticised by supporters and pundits for the lack of quality in his final ball.

Known for his pace, the 30-year-old regularly beats defenders but then fails to deliver an accurate cross.
His goalscoring record is also an ever-growing concern, with the former Sevilla man netting just once in the past two campaigns after losing his confidence in front of goal.

The Daily Mail also understands that Navas has no interest of joining any other team apart from the aforementioned Sevilla, where he wishes to end his playing career.
