Manchester City face a less than simple trip to the Bernabeu on Wednesday night, where they will take on Spanish giants and 10-time European champions Real Madrid for a place in the 2015/16 Champions League final.
A 0-0 draw at the Etihad last week meant that City will travel to Spain knowing that one goal would force Real Madrid to score twice to progress.
Since being taken over in 2008 by Shiekh Mansour, City have joined the likes of Wednesday’s opponents Real Madrid and Bayern Munich in the group of elite European clubs but have only shown their talent in Europe this season.
The two sides have an array of talent that could make up one of the most formidable sides in the world, so I decided to create a starting XI that could be built if the two teams were to combine.
P.S. The following Combined XI will be in the 4-2-1-3 formation.
