City join transfer battle for Yarmolenko

Manchester City have joined Premier League quartet Arsenal, Chelsea, Everton and Liverpool in the race to sign Dynamo Kiev winger Andriy Yarmolenko this summer.

Reports in the Sunday Mirror suggest that Liverpool and Everton have both been monitoring the Ukranian international for the past 12 months and his impetuous form this season has led to interest from Arsenal, Chelsea and now the Sky Blues.

Yarmolenko featured in both legs of the Champions League Round of 16 clash with City and, despite an aggregate loss for his club, he impressed scouts in both matches.

Since joining Kiev in 2007, the 26-year-old has scored 110 goals in 284 appearances including 15 in 28 games this term.

Kiev value the forward at £25m but Yarmolenko could be set to hand in a transfer request, with his national team boss Mykhaylo Fomenko telling him that a move to the Premier League would be beneficial to his career.
