Following a calf injury against Dynamo Kiev last Tuesday, Vincent Kompany’s future is in doubt as to whether he will continue his career at Manchester City once Guardiola arrives this summer, according to the Daily Star.
The Belgian defender is currently awaiting scan results which could rule him out for the rest of the season.
Kompany will definitely be out for at least a month and his injury record is set to alarm Guardiola.

This has been the fourth time Kompany’s calf has been a problem, meaning he has only played 19 matches this season for City.
His absence is clearly evident with City’s shaky defence and the likes of Otamendi, Demichelis and Mangala unable to form a strong central defensive partnership.
Along with weak league campaign, it is clear City’s defence needs a major re-shuffle come the summer.
Everton’s John Stones and Athletic Bilbao’s Aymeric Laporte have taken the interest of Manchester City and if brought in by Guardiola, could potentially be Kompany’s replacement.
