Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini is refusing to rule his side out of the title race despite their current position, reports the Mail.
City currently lie in fourth position, ten points behind leaders Leicester.
But Pellegrini is optimistic that there is still chance City can land a third Premier League title, and cites Leicester’s lack of experience at the top level.
He said:
We need not only to win our games but also hope Leicester and Tottenham can lose some points and after that we will see which team has the most experience to play the last few games.
In City’s last two title wins, they hit form at the ‘business’ end of the season – pipping United to the title on goal difference in 2011-12, before capitalising on Liverpool’s slip-ups in Pellegrini’s first season in charge.

Pellegrini says he is aware of the pressure that comes in the final phase of the season.
For every team, whether they have experience of a title run-in or not, there is a lot of pressure in the last part of the season. Maybe if you are not used to being involved then the pressure is a little bit more. But normally the last five games are very difficult for all the teams because it doesn’t matter if you play good or bad you just have to win the games – so nerves are important.
Sergio Aguero has been a shining light in a fairly disappointing campaign for the blues, despite his fair share of injury problems. The Chilean stressed just how devastating City’s No.10 could be without his injury troubles.

Unfortunately he has been unable to do that [stay fit] here in the last few seasons. But if he could complete a season, playing in every game, 100 per cent fit then you will see what a difference that could make.
