Three loan deals in only two years contracted to City, Zuculini’s life in England hasn’t gone as he would have planned. And, now, with a dream home return to former team Racing Club, broken down due to a salary dispute, Bruno could find yet another club before the January window slams shut.
Reports coming in from Argentina’s TyCSports and some local newspapers in Greece that have been heavily linking Manchester City midfielder Bruno Zuculini to joining AEK Athens on loan. Managed by former Sunderland boss, Gus Poyet, AEK Athens are in hope of snapping up the 22 year-old in order to pursue their near-impossible race to the title with Olympiacos.
While at England, Poyet had reportedly been interested in bringing the Argentinian midfielder to the North East; however, with Premier League rules thwarting the deal, it had never happened.
With his future at Manchester looking bleak, a successful loan spell in the Greek Super League could result in Zuculini playing in the Olympic Stadium on a permanent basis.
